Yes, spring is around the corner and that means it is time to CLEAN HOUSE. Cleaning house is more than just having a clean home, it is also about cleaning your spirit as well.
This year we have had the hormonal weather, in areas where it normally does not get cold has seen either abnormal rainfall or even snow. In the winter months we tend to allow things to clutter and take up space. Muck and dust also tends to settle in the home, during these hibernation months. All of these energies directly reflects the energy we carry. What do I mean by this? In simple terms, when you feel 'ucky' you don't really want to do anything. And when you feel fabulous, you feel like you can conquer the world with positive energy. Now, look around you? What is your enivorment look like during these feelings? Is your enviorment weighing you down? or is your enviorment lifting you up? The place we live in, directly reflects the energy we carry. It also will absorb our energy as well. So even after we have found ourselves in a better place, it will not take long for our surroundings to weigh us down, unless we clean house. A popular tread of late as been death cleansing. I am not stating for you to go to this extreme, however, it is a good practice to get rid of things, that doesn't serve you or others a purpose any more. Spring is a time for renewal and a good time for you to do this. Just remember, either sell your items or give them to charity. Clearing out the mess is a priority, so even if you are not doing the death cleanse, remove the clutter. Clutter brings in messy energies. This helps remove the persistent stagnant and dull energy. Clean, I mean actually clean with a mop, broom and rag your house. Remove the dust. That dust is just once again a reminder of stagnant energy collecting. Do your laundry! Change your bed! If you can afford to do so, go treat yourself to that new bedspread you have been wishing for all winter long. You will be surprised on just that little act is so freeing and renews your spirit. Not only is your bedroom clean but it has been renewed with that simple act. I like to place sea salt in the corners of room, also crystals and candles. Salt absorbs negative energy and the crystals depending upon what I feel the room needs have their own spiritual quality. I also place diffusers in the room, for that extra freshness, making my own blends to suit the needs of the home. I smudge my home always after cleansing my home. I either use sage or palo santo. For daily house keeping, I will light an incense, allowing the smoke to clear out the energies. I also keep an inspirational chalkboard, where I change out to inspirational quotes and invite others to write on it as well. This is a positive vibration energy you are setting intention within your home. Thought energies are very powerful. These are some of things you can do to heal your home thus heal yourself.

I am currently reading some books for my Masters thesis, one of them is The Science of Self Affirmation by Steven Handel . I really loved the suggested list of self affirmation so wanted to share with my blog readers. For those whom are new to affirmations, affirmations can be written and posted on dream vision boards or said out loud. The key is to make it a conscious habit. All you need is at least 5 minutes of your day.
This is a list of suggested self-affirmations. Try to use these as inspiration to come up with self-affirmations of your own. Or if you are really having trouble creating your own, then feel free to use some of these for now.
I hope after reading and using these 100 affirmations for self improvement you have a sense of finding your power within you. Namaste! |
